As one would expect from such an excellent brewery, the brewery tour of the West Berkshire Brewery that the branch were invited on by proprietors Helen and Dave Maggs was both a well attended and most enjoyable event. We met Helen and Dave in the very fine brewery shop in the village of Yatterdon and were made to feel very welcome with a lovely pint of one of Dave's well known brews, Full Circle or Mr Chubb's Lunchtime Bitter.
The brewery shop in Yatterdon. We were then taken on an informative but fun tour of the brewery plant and Dave gave us the low-down on everything from the raw materials, to brewery techniques, to all the technical details you could possibly want.
Dave points out the finer aspects of the brewing copper. We were then left to retire to the cosy bar next to the brewery shop to sample some more of the brewery's wares.
