Brewery established in 1995 in converted farm buildings in the grounds of The Pot Kiln pub, although the businesses are separate. Began as a five-barrel plant, but has since added a 12-barrel fermentation vessel. In 2000 a second, larger plant was installed in the neighbouring village of Yattendon. Following the demise of Morrell's Brewery in Oxford, West Berks Brewery is producing one of the area's few milds.

                                                                              Proprietor: Roy Bailey

Formed in 1995 to make traditional cider from local culinary apples. Produced several different ciders, which won awards in 1998 and 1999, and also a perry from two ancient local trees. In January 2001 the company planted an orchard of perry pear and cider apple trees at
Shefford Woodlands.

In 2007 it was decided to cease cider production; concentrate on producing perry, which will mostly be bottle-fermented in champagne bottles.

Lambourn Valley Cider has joined with two other local producers to form West Berkshire Cider Makers. They are:

Ciderniks, Kintbury, Hungerford.
Proprietor: Nick Edwards.
Tel: 07885 296789.
E-mail: ciderman@ciderniks.com

Nick started cider making in 2003, using mainly local fruit growing in the Kintbury/Inkpen area, as well as importing some Yarlington Mill apples from Herefordshire. His Yellowleg cider takes its name from the old nickname for Inkpen clay workers.

Wyatt's Cider, Cold Ash, Thatcham.
Proprietor: Rick Wyatt.
Tel: 07775 711356.
E-mail: rick.wyatt@virginmedia.co.uk

Rick made his first batch of cider in 2006, and it went down very well at Reading Beer and Cider Festival in May 2007. He is currently using fruit from some of the orchards to the east of Newbury formerly used by Lambourn Valley Cider, including the cider trees at Douai Abbey.

Tutts Clump Cider, Bishops Road, Tutts Clump, Bradfield, West Berkshire, RG7 6LB
Proprietor: Tim Wale
Tel 0118 9744649
Website - www.tuttsclumpcider.co.uk

Tim founded Tutts Clump Cider in 2008 in the hamlet of Tutts Clump. Their flagship product, Traditional Farmhouse Cider, can be found in pubs throughout the West Berkshire area.
