The CAMRA Good Beer Guide, published every October, lists 5,000 pubs in the U.K. which have been selected for the quality of their real ale. These pubs are selected, not by paid inspectors, but by local CAMRA members who monitor them continuously and select the best ones in their area for inclusion in the Guide.
There are about 150 licensed premises in West Berkshire; the vast majority of which serve real ale. Of these,
10 are included in the 2008 Guide.
