September 27th 2008 First Choko Beer Festival

  • The first Choko Beer Festival being held on Saturday September 27th at Laurence’s Hall in Cholsey.
  • Marquee with around 15 real ales.
  • Also available cider, lager and wine.
  • All-day  bar-b-que.
  • Live music
  • Activities for children
  • Charity Day supporting two charities:
  • Style Acre provides supported living services to adults with learning disabilities in South Oxfordshire.
  • Choko links communities in South Oxfordshire and South Africa, and raises funds for development work in the disadvantaged community of Kodumela.
  •  The day starts at 11a.m. and carries on until the beer runs out (or 11p.m.). Tickets are £4.50 in advance and include a commemorative pint glass and are available from Ray Park’s butcher’s shop or £5 at the gate on the day.

26th & 27th September 2nd Ascot Racecourse Beer Festival

 

  • Friday 26th and Saturday 27th September 2008. Organised by Berkshire SE CAMRA.
  • Exclusive HALF PRICE admission for CAMRA members – Prices from £5.00 on Friday and £7.50 on Saturday.
  • Excellent programme of racing featuring the Watership Down Stud Sales race on Friday and the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes on Saturday.
  • Over 130 real ales, ciders and perries to sample with tasting notes. All priced at £1.25 per half pint and £2.50 per pint.
  • Hot and cold food available all day.
  • Gates and Bars open at 11am. Last orders 4.15pm on Friday and 5.45pm on Saturday.
  • Live music on both days
  • Free parking or a 7 minute walk from Ascot Railway Station.
