Croquet Evening at the 5 Bells, Wickham.

Making the most of one of the rare glorious summer evenings, West Berkshire CAMRA held it's July Social meeting at the 5 Bells at Wickham. Taking advantage of the lovely beer garden at the pub we held an impromptu croquet match between the members attending.

This pub is a stunning period building with an amazing sloping thatched roof and has a perfect sized beer garden. As the beer flowed it was most amusing to see this most 'gentlemanly' game being played with more and more spite and malice, all of it good natured though!
